To Paint a Story

Paint a picture of a story
A story that has meaning
Meaning enough to change someone’s life
Someone’s life that has very little
Maybe paint their beautiful face
A face that she has never seen before
Her face is a story
Paint her face with blood dripping from her head
Paint the color purple to go with her eye
The eye that had a fist drawn to it by her father
Her father’s hand fractured from punching her
One can imagine her falling to the ground from the amazing force of hate
But you know what?
She is okay
She stands tall today
